The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) Recruitment shortlist contains the names of candidates who performed well during the recruitment exercise. This list includes 10,000 applicants who will become constables in the force. Those awaiting the list can now check if they were selected by following the procedures outlined on this page.

Throughout the recruitment process, the NPF will release multiple shortlists, each accompanied by specific instructions. The final Nigeria Police shortlisted candidates list will contain the names of those eligible to participate in the training exercise conducted by the Police Force.

Is the NPF Shortlisted Candidates List Out?

Yes, the Nigeria Police Force shortlisted candidates list is now available. A total of 171,956 persons have been shortlisted by the Police Service Commission for the CBT examination, scheduled for March 5, 2024. The medical screening exercise is set for April 16, 2024, and detailed information will be communicated to those selected in due course.

How to Check the Nigerian Police Force Recruitment Shortlist

The names of shortlisted candidates will be published on the recruitment and enlistment portal at www.psc.gov.ng. Alternatively, you can check the NPF’s social media pages, especially their Facebook page, for the list. Those whose names appear on the first shortlist will be eligible to participate in the CBT screening exercise. When attending the screening, you must carry a slip that can be printed from the portal. To check your status on the NPF Recruitment portal, follow these steps:

  1. Visit www.psc.gov.ng.
  2. Click on the “Recruit and Institution” menu.
  3. You will be redirected to apply.policerecruitment.gov.ng/download-shortlisted, where the names of shortlisted persons will be uploaded.

Nigeria Police Force Screening Requirements

The NPF will conduct an automated physical screening exercise for shortlisted candidates across various locations. The following documents will be required:

  • Educational qualifications
  • Birth certificate/declaration of age
  • Evidence of mental/physical fitness
  • Evidence of good character from village/district head

NPF Training Requirements

Below are the items required during the Nigerian Police Force training exercise:

  • Two (2) pairs of white round-neck T-shirts and shorts
  • Two (2) pairs of white trainers and white socks
  • Two (2) pairs of white sportswear
  • Two (2) pairs of white bed sheets
  • Two (2) pairs of white pillowcases
  • Face mask and hand sanitizer
  • Small food flask with two flat plates and a set of cutlery
  • A hoe, cutlass, and broom
  • Bucket and toiletries
  • Hardcover notebook and pen
  • Original copy of identity card/slip
  • Original copies of credentials
  • Printout of the BVN slip with a clear picture of the applicant
  • Four (4) copies of passport photographs with white backgrounds

Shortlisted candidates must adhere to all instructions during the screening and training exercises. Failure to do so can result in automatic disqualification.
