NGEC Recruitment Process
The recruitment process involves several standard procedures that candidates must follow:
- Vacancies Announcement: Open positions at the NGEC are posted on the official career website. An official notice will be uploaded by the management.
- Submitting Application: Once you find the positions you are interested in, follow the given instructions to submit your application.
- Shortlisting and Screening: After the application period ends, the management or human resources department will review all applications and contact successful candidates.

Requirements, Eligibility and Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following general requirements:
- Valid means of identification such as a National ID to prove citizenship.
- Clearance certificates from relevant bodies, including KRA and HELB, as per Chapter Six of the Kenya Constitution.
- A minimum of D+ mean grade in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with subjects such as English and Kiswahili.

Specific Job Roles
Assistant Director, Research
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Gender and Development, Economics, Law, Development Studies, Sociology, or related fields from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of three years of relevant work experience.
- Proficient computer skills, strong communication abilities, and membership in a relevant professional body are required.
Senior Human Resource Management Officer
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Social Science, or related fields.
- Diploma or Higher Diploma in Human Resource is an added advantage.
- Minimum of three years of relevant work experience and membership in a relevant professional body.
Principal Accountant
- Minimum of three years of work experience as a senior accountant in either public or private organizations.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Commerce, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Proficiency in computerized accounting and membership in a relevant professional body.
